

- How long are the assignments?
- Lengths of employment vary from 8-26 weeks and sometimes longer depending on the needs of the facility. We will do everything to provide you with options past the current assignment.
- Is it possible to stay past the original assignment stated?
- Yes, many of our assignments are extended. Just contact your recruiter.
- How many hours a week are the assignments?
- Most of the assignments are 36-40 hours per week. Many assignments guarantee 40 hours per week.
- Can I decline an assignment?
- Absolutely. You control where and for how long you want to travel.
- How do I get the specifics of an assignment?
- Your recruiter will discuss in detail the position, exceptions, equipment, call, etc... We always try to ensure that there is a fit between you and the facility so a phone interview is scheduled with the department supervisor or manager.
- What if I don't like the facility/assignment?
- Let your recruiter know. They will make every effort to replace you, and find you another assignment.
- What happens if my assignment is cut short by the facility?
- Our contracts with our facilities require notice. As there is a tremendous shortage, we expect to have you working again in an area of your choice.
- If I am on a temporary assignment and get offered a permanent position, can I accept?
- Yes, just contact your recruiter with the good news. This is a great way to find the right fit for you. Of course, if you are not interested in the position and want to continue traveling you are under no obligation to accept. The choice is entirely yours.
- What if I have a family emergency and have to leave my assignment?
- We understand you have personal needs outside of work. Please contact your recruiter immediately so we can help you attend to your family.
- What do I need to get started?
- First step is to contact one of our recruiters at 888-518-1750 so that we can understand your abilities and interest. Once we secure an assignment, we'll then ask for a few documents including a copy of your social security card, drivers license, and up-to-date health records (i.e. MMR, TB, HepB, and recent physical). We'll also need to verify your license is in good standing and run a criminal and drug screen test. Your recruiter can walk you through the process.

- How often do I get paid? And how can I receive my pay?
- MDI Medical pays biweekly. Your check can be direct deposited or mailed First Class.
- Are taxes taken out of my check?
- Yes. As an MDI Medical employee, you will receive a W2 at the end of the year.
- What are your pay rates?
- MDI Medical offers a very competitive pay rate which varies by modality and location. In addition we pay overtime and on-call differentials. Ask your recruiter for more detail.
- What is per diem?
- It is a daily allowance to cover meals and incidental expenses while you are away from home. It is paid five days a week and is not taxed.
- Do you provide bonuses?
- Yes. Select assignments may offer bonuses based on location, contract length, or modality. Speak to your recruiter for more information.
- What type of housing is provided?
- We provide all of our travelers with safe, private housing. Depending on your location, our travelers may stay in a hotel, corporate housing or a furnished apartment. Many times the facilities recommend housing where other travelers stay.
- Who makes the travel/accomodation arrangements?
- We have in-house housing coordinators who works exclusively for our travelers. Of course, your dedicated recruiter will make sure the process is smooth to ensure you have everything you need. Once you are confirmed for an assignment, our proven housing department coordinates your accomodations and travel.
- What happens if I have a problem with other travel arrangements?
- Contact your recruiter immediately. If a problem arises after business hours, your recruiter and/or housing coordinator are on call 24/7 to handle emergencies.
- Can I travel with my family members and/or pet?
- Yes, many of our employees travel with their family and their pets! All we ask is that you notify us in advance so we can secure the appropriate lodging and travel arrangements.
- If I need a state licensure, how do I obtain it?
- MDI Medical can provide you with all of the state applications and typical time frames for receiving authorization.
- Who pays for it?
- When you complete the minimum 13-week assignment with us, MDI Medical will reimburse you for the cost of the license.
